What is Tripod TV?
Tripod TV is the name of a 2-Disc DVD set made possible through the joint-effort of contributions from fans of musical comedy group, Tripod. The DVD set is being compiled by myself, Lucas Heil, with Tripod’s blessing, and will contain various Tripod television performances which haven’t made their way to getting a proper commercial DVD release.
The two discs comprising the set are being released separately, the first of which was released February 3rd 2009. Read on for details on how to get your own copy. No date has yet been set for Disc Two.
Check out the latest goings-on and get involved over at the project’s thread on the official Tripod forums.

Option 1: Getting mailed a Copy
The beauty of this fan-compiled creation is that legally, I can’t (nor would I want to) charge for it! The reason it’s being done is simply to spread the awareness of Tripod and to share the love around. After all, the best things in life are supposed to be free, so if this DVD set is free…. Well, you do the math….
Having said that, blank DVDs aren’t free either, so before you get mailed out a free copy of this awesome 2-Disc set, you’ll need to post three blank DVDs to me. The first two will have Tripod TV burned onto them, and the third will be kept by me as compensation for the costs involved with burner wear & tear, time spent burning and mailing the DVDs out to you, etc.
You’ll also need to cover return postage for the discs, otherwise I would be sent broke. The best way to do this is to also include two 500g prepaid bags (the small red and white ones available from any Australia Post Shop) or two Australia Post “CD Mailer” boxes. Since Disc Two is not ready yet, if you only include one postage bag or CD mailer, I will not send Disc One immediately, and instead wait until Disc Two is done and send both then. If you are outside Australia, let me know when you contact me and I’ll sort out the logistics of return post options with you.
If you’re one of the wonderful folks who have provided content for the DVDs, you don’t even have to worry about mailing the blank DVDs or sorting out return postage details, you’ll be automatically sent a free copy when it’s done!
All in all, a pretty sweet deal.
Okay, all good with that and ready for information on where to mail your blank DVDs? Contact me, and I’ll send you the address.
Option 2: Download & Burn
If you’re strapped for cash or have bandwidth to spare, you may alternatively wish to download a copy and burn it to disc yourself via this torrent, kindly and generously set up by fellow Tripod fan, Tim Russell. For those who are tech-savvy enough to know what they’re doing, you’ll find the torrent here.
As with any torrent file, we ask you be generous and seed the file as much as possible, should you choose this option. Thanks Tim!
Covers, Labels and Packaging
I’ve put together a DVD cover design that you may wish to print off and use for the DVDs. Again, being a fan-project, I am also providing a PSD version of the cover and label designs, so you can change text, rearrange things, add a “Disc One” and “Disc Two”, or do whatever you’d like with the overall appearance.
